Meet the pastors

Mirror Christ Church is a word-based local church in Greyville, Durban. We are led by pastors who teach the Bible plainly, pray with people through real life, and stay reachable during the week, not only on a Sunday.

If you are new, the quickest way to meet us is to come to a Sunday service at 09:00 and say hello afterwards. There is no dress code and no formality expected.

Our pastoral leaders. They carry the teaching of the church, the Sunday gathering and the midweek, and the oversight of every ministry and branch.

Who we are

At Mirror Christ Church we are a vibrant and inclusive community of believers dedicated to reflecting the love and teachings of Christ in our lives and beyond.

Rooted in love, faith and compassion, we embrace diversity and foster a welcoming environment where everyone can experience the transformative power of God's grace. We gather twice a week in the Underground Hall at Cityview Shopping Centre: one Sunday morning service and one midweek evening of teaching and prayer.

In every aspect of our journey, we aspire to mirror Christ's love, reflecting His teachings in our daily lives. Join us as we journey together, united in purpose and guided by the principles of love, faith and community.

Our mission is to actively engage in bringing social and spiritual transformation, inspired by God's love. Through worship, fellowship and outreach we create a community where lives are touched, hearts are healed, and individuals are empowered to live out their faith in tangible ways.

01 The Holy Spirit The Spirit worked with the Father and the Son to create the world, and the Father gave His Spirit to make us like His Son. He is to be with us forever, received by those who are prepared for Him. John 14:16–17
02 Jesus Christ A descendant of David in His human nature; shown with great power to be the Son of God by being raised from death on the third day, now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 · Romans 1:2–4
03 A soul-winner Jesus Christ came to restore the relationship and fellowship between God and man. That is what He came for, lived for, died for and rose again for.
04 The Holy Bible Holy men of God were carried along by the Holy Spirit as they spoke the message that came from God. Scripture is more than ancient wisdom; it is God’s message of grace and truth to us today. 2 Timothy 3:16 · 2 Peter 1:21
05 Salvation To be set free from sin and its penalties, received by faith in the cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. Each person has to accept Him as their personal Lord and Saviour.
06 Born again The Spirit shows us how wrong our sins are and helps us accept Christ, changing our lives completely. To be born again we need God’s Word and His Spirit, mixed with repentance and faith. Romans 8:16
07 Divine healing The supernatural power of God bringing health to the human body, received by faith in the finished work of Christ. All the punishment He received was for our healing: spirit, soul and body. By His stripes we are healed.
08 Baptism Water baptism and baptism in the Holy Spirit. All who enter the body of Christ do so because they are baptized in the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13 · Romans 8:9
09 Speaking in tongues As the Spirit of God gives utterance. When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, God’s power comes upon you as it did on the first disciples at Pentecost, producing rivers of life, joy, love, peace and power for the needs of others. Acts 2:1–4 · John 7:37–38
10 The Lord’s Supper As celebrated by Jesus Christ and His disciples: His body and His blood of the covenant, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. We partake upon the instruction of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 26:26–28 · 1 Corinthians 11:26–31
11 His return Jesus Christ will come again, just as He went away. Acts 1:11 · 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
12 Life to come Sin points one to eternal death and destruction, but God’s Word points one to life. If Christ Jesus is our Lord and Saviour, a new body, a new soul and a new spirit await us one day.

Through the week

Our ministries

Six ministries carry the life of the church between Sundays. Every one is open to visitors; there is nothing to join and no one to ask first.

Children's ministries Age-appropriate teaching on Sunday mornings while the main service runs. Youth ministries Teenagers and young adults learning the Word together and serving on the teams. Women's ministries Women gathering to pray, study and carry one another through the seasons of life. Men's ministries Men meeting to be taught, held accountable and built up as husbands, fathers and leaders. Couples' ministries Marriage teaching and fellowship for couples at every stage, engaged to long-married. Compassionate ministries Care for orphans, widows, the elderly and the poor: practical help in Greyville and the wider city.

First time here?

The questions visitors ask us most. Anything else, message us on WhatsApp and a person will answer.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open from 08:30 for a 09:00 start. Come a little early and someone will show you where to sit and where the children go.

What do people wear?

Whatever you are comfortable in. Some dress up, most don't. Nobody will comment either way.

Where do I park?

Free parking on site at Cityview Shopping Centre. The Underground Hall entrance is signposted from the parking level.

Is there anything for my children?

Yes. Age-appropriate teaching runs alongside the Sunday service. Children stay with you for the first part of the morning.

Will I be asked to give or to sign up?

No. There is an offering during the service, and visitors are not expected to take part. Nobody will be singled out.

How to get involved

01 Come to a service. Sunday 09:00 is the front door of everything else here.
02 Join the midweek. Wednesday evenings are where most people get to know the church properly.
03 Serve on a team. Worship, media, ushering, children, outreach: tell a leader where you would like to help.
04 Ask for prayer. Message us any day of the week; a pastor will get back to you.

Giving keeps the hall open, the teaching going out on YouTube, and practical help moving in Greyville. Members give by EFT; visitors are under no obligation.
